NEW EDITION GLE SERES
The loudspeakers of the GLE series are technically convincing and visually appealing: thanks to these features, the attractive and versatile GLE models have been among the most popular loudspeakers in Europe for many years. Now we have completely revised the successful GLE model range – both visually and technically. What has remained is the strong price-performance ratio and, of course, the convincingly good Canton sound. The new GLE series is led by the flagship GLE 90, a powerful and dynamic floorstanding speaker in 3-way construction, which not only showcases its excellent sound characteristics, but also scores points with its listeners with an attractive, harmonious design. The finest technology takes a seat on the slim baffle and creates the unique Canton sound – recently with our excellent drivers made of titanium, which is allowed to move into the current GLE series.
Technology better than ever before.
Striving for the best sound means a lot of hard work and the use of the latest techniques. Our GLE loudspeakers, which have been redesigned both visually and technically, benefit from the constant progress we are making in loudspeaker development. Precise, punchy bass is the domain of the two 192 mm woofers, which deliver phenomenal depth in the voluminous bass reflex cabinet. Instead of the previous drivers with aluminum diaphragms, woofer specialists with highly stable diaphragms made of titanium are now in use: these can follow fast music impulses even more precisely. Even in the acoustically immensely important midrange range, we use titanium drivers in the current GLE series. Thanks to the large 174 mm midrange driver, the GLE 90 sounds tremendously agile and shines with the best dynamics, excellent resolution and unsurpassed balance. As ideal playing partners, we use our sophisticated and well-proven aluminum-manganese tweeter systems with 25 mm domes, which are equipped with elaborate waveguides for ideal sound radiation and coupling and enable reproduction up to 40,000 hertz thanks to optimized crossovers. The excellent technical equipment of the current GLE generation is further underlined by the loudspeaker chassis with sturdy polycarbonate baskets, potent magnetic drives and tri-fold wave surrounds.
State of the art
The GLE 3 90-way loudspeakers are both modern and neutral in design and, thanks to their harmonious proportions, can be integrated into any living environment. They are available in the attractive variants “black décor”, “white décor” and “macassar décor” – the baffles of the bass reflex floorstanding loudspeakers are matt black or silk matt white lacquered. An adornment for the current GLE series are the black fabric covers, which are magnetically fixed to the baffles. They are generously rounded at the corners, giving the floorstanding speakers a distinctive, attractive face. The well-proportioned GLE 90 floorstanding loudspeakers are 105 centimetres high, with a width of only 21 centimetres and a depth of 30 centimetres. Four device feet integrated into the bottom of the case ensure a firm footing on the floor.

The powerful GLE 3 90-way floorstanding speakers can be expanded with other models from the GLE series to create a powerful, high-performance multi-channel home cinema system. For example, you can take our GLE 90 as the main speaker, combine the matching GLE 50 Center and the GLE 30 as a surround speaker. The active low-frequency part is taken over by the Power Sub 12 subwoofer, which harmonises perfectly with it and provides tremendous bass in the home cinema.
