NEW EDITION GLE SERES
The speakers of the GLE series are technically convincing and visually appealing: thanks to these qualities, the attractive and versatile GLE models have been among the most popular speakers in Europe for many years. Now we have completely revised the successful GLE model range – both visually and technically. What has remained is the strong price-performance ratio and, of course, the convincingly good Canton sound. A logical extension of the GLE series is the newly introduced GLE 80, with dimensions only slightly smaller than those of our flagship GLE 90, offering almost identical performance with outstanding sound characteristics, excellent dynamics and an attractive appearance. The finest technology takes up space on the only 19 centimetre slim baffle and creates the unique Canton sound – now exclusively with our outstanding drivers made of titanium, which is allowed to move into the current GLE series.
Technology better than ever before.
Striving for the best sound means a lot of hard work and the use of the latest technologies. Our GLE loudspeakers, which have been redesigned both visually and technically, benefit from the progress we are constantly making in loudspeaker development. Precise and powerful bass is child’s play for the two 174 mm woofers, which reproduce enormous bass in an optimally tuned bass reflex cabinet. Instead of the previous drivers with aluminium diaphragms, low-frequency specialists with highly stable titanium diaphragms are now in use: these can follow fast music impulses even more precisely. In the acoustically immensely important midrange, too, we use titanium drivers in the current GLE series. Thanks to the large 174 mm midrange driver, the GLE 80 sounds incredibly agile and shines with the best dynamics, outstanding resolution and unsurpassed balance. As ideal playing partners, we use our mature and well-proven aluminium-manganese tweeter systems with 25 mm domes, which are equipped with sophisticated waveguides for ideal sound dispersion and coupling and, thanks to optimised crossovers, enable reproduction up to 40,000 Hertz. The outstanding technical equipment of the current GLE generation is further underlined by the loudspeaker drivers with stable polycarbonate baskets, potent magnetic drives and triple folded wave surrounds.
State of the art
The slim GLE 80 3-way loudspeakers are both modern and neutral in design and can be integrated into any living ambience thanks to their harmonious proportions. They are available in the attractive variants “Black Decor” and “White Decor” – ideally matched by the matt black or satin white lacquered baffles of the powerful bass reflex floor-standing speakers. The black fabric covers, which are magnetically attached to the baffles, are a decorative feature of the current GLE series. Generously rounded at the corners, they give the floorstanding speakers a friendly, attractive face. The well-proportioned GLE 80 floorstanding loudspeakers are 100 centimetres tall, yet only 19 centimetres wide and 30 centimetres deep. Four feet integrated into the bottom of the cabinet ensure a firm footing on the floor.

You can expand the powerful GLE 80 3-way floorstanding speakers with other models from the GLE series to create a powerful, high-performance multi-channel home cinema system.
