Our smallest front-firing active subwoofer with down-firing passive cone is the Power Sub 8. Two 219 mm power drivers provide impressive bass qualities in this compact subwoofer. It’s the perfect partner for our GLE Series speakers, but as a universalist it can be combined with any other stereo and home theatre speakers. The active module delivers a very high peak power of 280 watts, which inspires the compact Power Sub 8 to excellent dynamic performance. Also amazing is its enormous low bass, which, thanks to our “SC Technology” and the “Room Compensation Circuit”, comes across clearly and precisely in any room without distortion. Exclusive to this price range are the woofer with a top-quality titanium diaphragm and the hard MDF diaphragm of the passive radiator. The result: pitch-black bass with sharp contours and enormous pressure for a particularly impressive stereo and multi-channel music experience. With its small dimensions of 27.5 x 38 x 42 centimetres (W x H x D), the 12-kilogram Power Sub 8 can be harmoniously integrated into any living environment.

The Power Sub 8 active subwoofer from Canton operates according to the bass reflex principle with a downfire passive cone. To guarantee precise mechanical performance, it is equipped with a lavishly dimensioned drive including the latest generation of wave surround technology. Compared to conventional surrounds, the multi-folded wave surround allows for a much longer excursion and reduces sound distortion. For maximum precision and correct impulse processing of the low-frequency signals, the Power Sub 8 uses a 219 mm high-performance woofer chassis made of titanium and a passive cone of the same size, which is made of sturdy MDF. The Power Sub 8 works well with all stereo and home theatre speakers thanks to its volume, phase and crossover control. Its automatic on/off switch allows for convenient and uncomplicated operation in everyday life. The sound-transparent fabric front cover adheres magnetically to the baffle, and its generously rounded “corners” give our Power Sub 8 an independent, attractive face.
