M&K Sound has created MP7, a shallower version of the popular M7 loudspeaker described by Home Cinema Choice magazine as ”a powerful set of small speakers able to deliver a genuinely big sound”.
By significantly reducing the depth of the M7 cabinet and revising its overall dimensions to ensure no loss of internal volume, M&K Sound has created an elegant, discrete on-wall monitor that retains the audio quality of a full-size compact loudspeaker.
The fabulous look of the MP7 in High Gloss Black or White with pressed metal mesh grilles with protected edges and stylish indentations for the tiny magnetic grips, will appeal to the house-proud music/movie lover.
The MP-7 is a high performance wall-mounted two-way loudspeaker design for use with flatpanel TVs, utilizing a 1” polymer coated silk soft-dome, ferrofluid cooled neodymium magnet tweeter and dual 4” polymer coated pulp cone, magnetically shielded cast basket woofers. Featuring MK Sound’s proprietary Phase-Focused™ Crossover, the MP-7 provides extraordinarily even dispersion of sound throughout a broad listening area with superior imaging and sound quality.
Designed for music and theater systems in small to medium size rooms, it delivers delicate sonic transparency combined with tremendous dynamic capability resulting in minimal coloration and effortless handling of voices, percussive effects, and musical instruments with life-like impact.
Available in black high-gloss finish with black cloth grille.
While other manufacturers were building audio dinosaurs in the form of coffin-sized boxes, M&K led the way into the future with the world’s first satellite/subwoofer system, David & Goliath in 1976. The following year, M&K Sound introduced the Volkswoofer, the world’s first subwoofer with a built-in, dedicated power amplifier. The journey began in 1973, when Walter Becker of Steely Dan commissioned M&K Sound to design a studio reference subwoofer and monitoring system for the Pretzel Logic LP mixing sessions. The result was the world’s first balanced dual-drive subwoofer and Pretzel Logic went on to become a million-selling Top Ten hit and one of Rolling Stone magazine’s 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.Today M&K Sound loudspeakers have been chosen for the development and demonstration of the groundbreaking Dolby Digital cinema and home surround format, for the first public demonstration of the high-resolution Blu-ray disc format, for sound production on Star Wars Episodes I-III and countless other award-winning music, film and TV productions.A Who’s Who of the professional audio world – film, music, mastering and broadcast studios – continue to entrust their livelihood to M&K Sound reference monitors and powered subwoofers.
The industry now state that M&K Sound speakers are the best for cinema reproduction in home or commercial grade cinemas
