The SUR-95T Tripole® surround loudspeaker allows multi-channel home entertainment enthusiasts to enjoy MK Sound Tripole® technology, in a practical size for side or rear placement in a 5.1, 6.1 or 7.1 channel configuration that won’t dominate your living space.
The SUR-95T Tripole® delivers both imaging specificity and an enveloping sound field, because it is essentially two independent speakers (a front-radiating monopole and a side-radiating dipole) mounted in a single cabinet. This breakthrough design shares all of the technologies and is timber matched to the rest of the 950 system.
Featuring two 3” pulp mid-tweeters on each side of the cabinet oriented in dipole fashion, the dipole configuration emits diffused sound throughout the room. Combined with the front-mounted 1” silk dome tweeter and 5.25” polypropylene mid-woofer direct radiating configuration, the Tripole® design provides even distribution of sound throughout the listening area with pinpoint accuracy and an enveloping sound field, allowing listeners to experience superior imaging and surround quality. The SUR-95T Tripole® surround is the ideal match for the LCR-950 in output, timber and overall sound quality.
The perfect balance
The SUR-95T is a Tripole™ Surround loudspeaker with forward firing two-way array utilizing a 1” polymer coated silk soft-dome, ferrofluid cooled dual-magnet tweeter with specially damped rear chamber, and a 5¼” mineral-filled polypropylene cone, magnetically shielded cast basket woofer, combined with two side firing 3¼” coated pulp cone, magnetically shielded full range drivers. Featuring M&K Sound’s proprietary Phase-Focused™ Crossover, it provides extraordinarily even dispersion of sound throughout a broad listening area with superior imaging and sound quality. The SUR-95T is timbre-matched to the LCR-950 for a rock-steady consistent surround sound field with seamless transitions as voices and sound effects move across or through the three-dimensional soundstage.
